Travel Warning: Somalia
This Travel Warning updates information on the unsettled security situation and warns American citizens against travel to Somalia. This supersedes the Travel Warning of May 20, 2008.
The Department of State warns U.S. citizens against all travel to Somalia, including the self-proclaimed “Republic of Somaliland,” since there is no U.S. Embassy or other U.S. diplomatic presence in Somalia. Consequently, the U.S. Government is not in a position to assist or effectively provide services to U.S. citizens in Somalia. Read more
CPSC: Carter’s Tagless Clothing Can Cause Rash
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Carter’s, Inc., of Atlanta, Georgia, are advising parents and caregivers that they have received reports that a small percentage of babies and infants have developed rashes on the upper back after wearing Carter’s clothing with heat-transferred, or “tag-less,” labels.
This advisory applies to Carter’s Fall 2007 product line. The Fall 2007 line utilizes a label on the inside back of the garment that has a raised surface with a solid, rather than a stenciled, background. This advisory does not apply to previous and current product lines, which utilize labels with stenciled backgrounds. Read more

Motorcycle Recall: 2008-2009 Buell XB12XP, XB12XT
Buell is recalling 624 MY 2008-2008 XB12XT and MY 2009 XB12XP motorcycles. The windshields may become dislodged and allow the windshield to either strike or distract the rider while the vehicle is being ridden at a high speed. Vehicle Recall: 2008 Honda Civic
Honda is recalling 128 MY 2008-2009 Civic sedans. A bracket that covers the fuel hose connector is secured with a bolt and nut, but during assembly the nut was not installed. In the event of a crash, the bracket may become loose which could result in damage to the fuel hose connector. A damaged connector could lead to a fuel leak and increases the risk of a fire.
